Basilica hostel is part of the ensemble of a Russian Orthodox Church built in 1781 - the Church of the Silver Trinity. Once the residence of Monks, our building has been completely renovated to become Moscow's premier hostel. Staying with Basilica hostel, you experience the beautiful history of Moscow first hand. Surrounded by the old streets of historical Moscow, we are an easy 10 minute walk to the Kremlin and Red Square. You can see the Kremlin from the river bank in front of the church.

Silver Trinity Church holds important historical relevance for Moscow.  The church was built with funds from the grandfather of the writer Alexander Pushkin. From the bank of the river in front of the church Tsar Peter the Great learned to sail his first ship. Nowadays you can catch a boat excursion from the dock, a great way to see Moscow.

We offer a very large common room and kitchen for our guests to use.  In our garden out back we have picnic tables and a grill for bar-b-ques. A great way for socializing and meeting fellow travelers. We offer free guided tours of the Church bell tower (closed to the public, available only to hostel guests) - a unique way to view Moscow!

The rooms of the hostel have been completely renovated and each room is unique.  We offer both private rooms and beds in dorm rooms.

Our western management will offer you a high level of friendly customer service.  Our reception is open 24 hours per day and our receptionists are fluent in English.

Our travel desk can assist you in arranging visa invitations to Russia as well as airport taxi pickup (additional charge). We offer free wi-fi in the hostel (bring your own computer).
